Wingate - Mrs. Fay Irvin, 80, a music teacher for many years in Montgomery County, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, after being admitted April 17. Mrs. Irvin was a member of Elmdale United Methodist Church, Elmdale and Wingate Women's Society of Christian Service and Elmdale Home Extension Club. She graduated from Wingate HS and the Arthur Jordon Conservatory of Music, Indianapolis. She was born Dec 29, 1890 in Coal Creek Township to Abraham and Ella Rodehamel Dazey. On Sept 6, 1911, she married Don Irvin of Lebanon. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Carroll E. of Rt 1, New Richmond and John M. of Rt 2, Waynetown; two daughters, Mrs. James Barnhill and Mrs. Mike Baldwin both of Crawfordsville; one brother Ray Dazey of near Elmdale; 15 grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by twin sons, Jackie and Billie, a brother and a sister. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown. Rev. Guy Tremaine will officiate assisted by Rev. Jean McCan. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Thursday. - kbz

WINGATE, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Faye Irvin, 80, of Wingate, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday (April 28, 1971) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been a patient since April 17. Mrs. Irvin was born Dec. 29, 1890, in Coal Creek Township, Montgomery County, daughter of Abraham and Ella Rodehanel Dazey. She was married to Don Irvin Sept. 6, 1911, at Lebanon, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Carroll E. of New Richmond Route l and John M. of Waynetown Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. James Barnhill and Mrs. Mike Baldwin, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Ray Dazey of near Elmdale; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by twin sons, Jackie and Billy; a brother and a sister. Mrs. Irvin was a member of Elmdale United Methodist Church; WSCS of the Elmdale and Wingate Churches; and Elmdale Home Extension Club. A graduate of Wingate High and the Arthur Jordan Conservatory of Music at Indianapolis, Mrs. Irvin gave private music lessons for a number of years. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown, with the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine, assisted by the Rev. Jean McCan, officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. – jlr
